Stirlo Terms of Service

Effective Date: October 15, 2026

1. Agreement to the Terms

Welcome to Stirlo, an online social and professional networking platform for bartenders, hospitality professionals, and cocktail enthusiasts.

Stirlo is currently operated by an individual and is available at https://joinstirlo.com.

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Stirlo.

By creating an account, accepting these Terms, or using Stirlo after being presented with them, you agree to comply with these Terms.

If you do not agree, you should not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 21 years old to use Stirlo.

By registering, you represent that you meet this age requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

Stirlo may suspend or terminate accounts that do not meet eligibility requirements.

Stirlo does not independently verify every user's age, identity, employment history, or professional qualifications.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for:

You may not use another person's account without authorization.

Stirlo may restrict accounts that violate these Terms or threaten platform security.

4. User Content and Ownership

Users may create, upload, publish, or store content, including cocktail recipes, descriptions, photographs, professional information, reviews, and private notebook entries.

You retain whatever ownership or other legal rights you have in your original content.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights and permissions to submit, store, or publish that content.

Stirlo does not automatically acquire ownership of your recipes simply because you upload them.

However, not every recipe, ingredient list, preparation method, or cocktail concept is necessarily protected by copyright or another form of intellectual property law.

Applicable ownership and confidentiality rights depend on the particular content and circumstances.

5. License for Published Content

When you publish content to public areas of Stirlo, you grant Stirlo a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate and provide the platform.

This license is limited to operating, displaying, maintaining, and promoting the content within Stirlo and its related service functions.

You remain responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions from other rights holders.

Removing content ends Stirlo's authorization for new public displays of that content, subject to reasonable technical retention, previously distributed copies, legal obligations, and rights that cannot practically be recalled.

6. Recipe Rights and Workplace Confidentiality

Stirlo is designed to help hospitality professionals share knowledge and document their work.

However, users must respect applicable employment agreements, confidentiality obligations, trade-secret protections, and intellectual property rights.

You agree not to submit, publish, or privately store information when doing so would violate another person's legal rights or your contractual obligations.

This includes confidential employer-owned recipe documentation or protected business information that you do not have permission to use.

Not every cocktail recipe is confidential or proprietary. The existence and scope of legal protection depend on the facts and applicable law.

If you are uncertain whether you may share or store a workplace recipe, you should obtain permission or appropriate professional advice before doing so.

7. Private Recipe Notebook

Stirlo may provide a Private Recipe Notebook for personal, text-only recipe notes.

Notebook entries are not published to other members and are protected by application-level owner-only access controls.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to store the information in your notebook.

A notebook entry's private status does not exempt it from applicable laws, confidentiality agreements, employment obligations, or third-party rights.

Stirlo does not guarantee that any online storage system is completely immune to unauthorized access, technical failure, or lawful disclosure.

Users should maintain independent copies of important information.

8. Bartender Profiles, Employment, and Resumes

Stirlo may allow bartenders to create professional profiles, upload resumes, and indicate availability for employment opportunities.

Verified venue managers may be granted access to certain employment-related information when a bartender has enabled the applicable opt-in setting.

Stirlo does not guarantee employment, interviews, hiring decisions, the accuracy of professional claims, or the identity and conduct of every employer or applicant.

Users are responsible for independently evaluating employment opportunities and verifying relevant information.

Once a resume is downloaded by an authorized recipient, Stirlo cannot guarantee that the downloaded copy will be deleted or recalled.

Venue managers must use employment-related information only for legitimate, lawful hiring purposes and must not misuse or disclose it without appropriate authorization.

9. Community Conduct

You agree not to:

Stirlo may remove content, restrict access, or terminate accounts in response to violations, subject to applicable law.

10. Alcohol-Related Content

Stirlo provides a platform for adults to discuss cocktails, beverage preparation, and hospitality-related topics.

Stirlo does not itself authorize unlawful alcohol sales, distribution, service, or consumption.

Users are responsible for complying with applicable alcohol laws, licensing requirements, and workplace rules.

Stirlo does not guarantee the safety, suitability, or legality of recipes submitted by users.

Users should exercise appropriate judgment concerning ingredients, allergies, preparation methods, and responsible alcohol service.

11. Payments and Tips

Stirlo has developed features for paid recipes and bartender tipping, but those features are currently disabled.

If activated, additional payment terms, pricing information, and third-party payment provider requirements may apply.

Users will be responsible for reviewing the terms presented at the time of any transaction.

Stirlo does not guarantee that external payment services, including peer-to-peer payment links, will successfully complete transactions.

Any applicable refund or dispute procedures will be governed by the transaction terms, payment provider rules, and applicable law.

12. Reports and Moderation

Users may report content or conduct that they believe violates Stirlo's rules or applicable law.

Stirlo may review reports and take action it considers appropriate, including removing content or restricting accounts.

Stirlo does not guarantee that every report will result in a particular action or resolution.

Certain safety-related reports may be retained after an account is deleted, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

13. Intellectual Property Complaints

If you believe content on Stirlo infringes your intellectual property rights, contact:

stirlosupport@gmail.com

Include a description of the material, its location on Stirlo, the rights you believe are affected, and sufficient information for us to review the concern.

Stirlo may remove or restrict allegedly infringing content while evaluating a complaint.

Formal copyright notices and counter-notices may be subject to additional legal requirements.

14. Account Suspension and Termination

Users may delete their accounts through available account settings.

Stirlo may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms, security concerns, unlawful conduct, or other legitimate reasons, subject to applicable law.

Account deletion removes the authentication account and covered active application records, but does not necessarily immediately erase all copies of information from hosting infrastructure, recovery systems, or third parties.

Please review the Privacy Policy for additional information about deletion, retention, and uploaded files.

15. Third-Party Services

Stirlo relies on third-party infrastructure and may link to services operated by other organizations.

These may include hosting providers, authentication services, payment processors, font providers, and external payment applications.

Stirlo is not responsible for third-party services to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Your use of those services may be governed by their separate terms and privacy policies.

16. Service Availability and Changes

Stirlo may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent storage, or that every feature will remain available indefinitely.

Users should keep independent copies of content they cannot afford to lose.

We will provide notice of material changes where required by applicable law.

17. Disclaimers

Stirlo is provided on an "as available" and "as is" basis to the extent permitted by applicable law.

We do not guarantee that user-generated content is accurate, that professional opportunities will produce particular results, or that recipes are suitable for every person or circumstance.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Stirlo and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.

Any limitation of liability applies only to the extent enforceable under applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability arising from conduct for which applicable law prohibits such limitations.

19. Changes to These Terms

Stirlo may revise these Terms to reflect changes in the service, legal requirements, or operational practices.

Material changes may require notice or renewed acceptance.

The effective date will be updated when revised Terms are published.
