Stirlo Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 15, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Stirlo.
Stirlo is an online social and professional networking platform for bartenders, hospitality professionals, and cocktail enthusiasts, available at https://joinstirlo.com.
Stirlo is currently operated by an individual, not a registered corporation or limited liability company.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Stirlo collects, how it is used, when it may be shared, and the choices available to users.
For privacy questions, contact stirlosupport@gmail.com.
2. Age Requirements
Stirlo is intended exclusively for individuals who are at least 21 years old.
Users must confirm that they are 21 or older during registration or onboarding.
Stirlo currently relies on users' age declarations and does not routinely collect birth dates or government identification documents to verify age.
Individuals under 21 are not permitted to use Stirlo.
3. Information We Collect
Account and Profile Information
When you register or use Stirlo, we may collect:
- Your name, display name, and email address.
- Your selected profile type.
- Professional title, experience, specialties, and biography.
- Current or previous workplaces and employment history.
- Location information you choose to include in your profile, such as city or state.
- Profile photographs and other content you voluntarily provide.
- Your confirmation that you meet Stirlo's minimum age requirement.
Some information is optional.
Recipes and User Content
We collect content you create or submit, including:
- Published cocktail recipes.
- Recipe drafts.
- Ingredients, preparation instructions, and descriptions.
- Recipe images.
- Reviews, favorites, collections, and bottle information.
- Community interactions, connections, and reports.
Content you publish publicly may be visible to other Stirlo users and, depending on the feature, other visitors.
Private Recipe Notebook
Stirlo offers a Private Recipe Notebook for personal recipe notes.
Notebook entries are text-only and stored separately from published recipes.
The notebook is designed so that entries are accessible through the application only to the account that created them. Other members cannot browse or search your private entries, and entries are not automatically published.
Stirlo's current application-level security rules restrict notebook access to the entry owner. Authorized hosting infrastructure and service operations may still process stored information as necessary to operate, secure, or maintain the service.
You can edit, export, or delete your notebook entries using the available notebook controls.
Private storage does not override employment confidentiality agreements, trade-secret protections, or other legal obligations.
Employment and Resume Information
Bartenders may voluntarily upload resumes and indicate that they are open to employment opportunities.
When a bartender enables the relevant employment-opportunity setting, verified venue managers may be permitted to view certain professional information and access the bartender's resume.
Resume access is controlled through temporary links. However, once an authorized manager downloads a resume, Stirlo cannot retrieve or delete that manager's downloaded copy.
Bartenders may disable their employment-opportunity setting or remove their resume using available account controls.
Basic resume availability information may appear on a public profile even when the resume document itself is restricted.
Technical and Usage Information
Our hosting and authentication providers may process technical information necessary to operate Stirlo, such as authentication credentials or tokens, connection information, and security or diagnostic records.
Stirlo uses browser storage for authentication and application functionality.
At the time of this policy, Stirlo's application code does not include Google Analytics, advertising tracking pixels, or dedicated behavioral advertising tools.
Third-party infrastructure may process technical information under its own applicable policies.
4. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Create and maintain accounts.
- Authenticate users and protect account access.
- Display profiles, recipes, and other content users choose to publish.
- Provide private notebook storage.
- Support professional networking and hiring features.
- Manage community interactions, reports, and moderation.
- Respond to support requests.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and secure the platform.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
- Provide payment-related features if those features are activated.
We do not currently use Stirlo account information for behavioral advertising.
5. Public and Private Information
Some Stirlo information is public by design, including published recipes, public bartender profiles, work history, reviews, and badges.
Other information is subject to access restrictions, including:
- Private notebook entries.
- Unpublished recipe drafts.
- Personal collections and bottle lists.
- Certain connection and account records.
- Resumes and employment information subject to applicable permissions.
- Reports and manager-verification information.
- Purchase and tipping records, if those features are enabled.
Access restrictions depend on the relevant feature and may permit access by authorized administrators or verified managers where applicable.
Users should avoid including sensitive personal information in public profile fields or public posts.
6. Service Providers and Third Parties
Stirlo uses Base44 for application infrastructure, including hosting, authentication, database services, and file storage.
Stirlo also loads certain fonts through Google Fonts.
Payment functionality has been developed using Wix Payments, but payment and tipping features are currently disabled. If activated, payment providers may process payment information according to their own privacy policies.
Certain optional features may link users to third-party services such as Venmo. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
We may disclose information to service providers where necessary to operate Stirlo, respond to lawful requests, protect users, or enforce applicable policies.
We do not sell users' personal information.
7. Payments and Financial Information
Stirlo's payment and tipping features are currently disabled.
If activated, card payments are intended to be processed through hosted payment services rather than through Stirlo's own storage of complete card numbers.
Stirlo may retain related transaction information, such as purchase amounts, payment status, transaction identifiers, and associated account information.
Users should review the applicable payment provider's terms and privacy disclosures when making transactions.
8. Account Security
Stirlo uses platform authentication and access controls intended to protect account information and private content.
No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Users are responsible for protecting their login credentials and notifying Stirlo if they suspect unauthorized account activity.
9. Data Retention and Account Deletion
Users may request account deletion through the available account settings.
The account-deletion process is designed to remove the user's authentication account and associated active application records, including private notebook entries, published recipes, profile information, and other covered records.
However, some information may remain after account deletion:
Platform retention: Deleted database records may remain in Base44's platform-level trash or recovery systems for a limited period. Testing has indicated an approximately 30-day retention period, but exact permanent-deletion timing is subject to the hosting provider's practices.
Uploaded files: Previously uploaded photographs, resumes, or other files may remain in hosting infrastructure after associated database records are removed. Stirlo's normal application interfaces no longer provide access to deleted account records, but previously issued file links, downloaded copies, or other retained copies may remain accessible outside those interfaces.
Safety reports: Reports may be retained for safety and moderation purposes, with the deleting user's contact email removed from the retained report record.
Public or third-party copies: Information previously viewed, downloaded, copied, or shared by other people may remain outside Stirlo's control.
Legal and operational obligations: Certain information may be retained where required or permitted by applicable law or legitimate operational requirements.
Deleting an account does not guarantee the immediate erasure of every copy of information from every system.
For questions about retained information, contact stirlosupport@gmail.com.
10. Your Privacy Choices
Depending on the feature, Stirlo provides controls to:

- Manage private notebook entries and export notebook content.
- Upload or remove resumes.

- Manage favorites, collections, and bottle information.
- Delete your account.
- Contact support about privacy concerns.
Additional privacy rights may apply under the laws of your state or country.
You may contact us to request information about applicable privacy rights or raise concerns about how your information is handled.
11. Communications
Stirlo's authentication platform may send account-related communications, including verification, password-reset, and invitation emails.
Stirlo does not currently operate a separate marketing-email program.
If additional communication features are introduced, this policy may be updated accordingly.
12. International Use
Stirlo is intended primarily for users in the United States.
Its hosting and service providers may process information in locations determined by their infrastructure and operations.
Users accessing Stirlo from other jurisdictions should understand that information may be processed outside their location, subject to applicable law.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
Stirlo may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in its services, data practices, or legal obligations.
The effective date will be updated when revisions are published. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent.
